The REDARC BCDCMB-008 is a mounting bracket that allows the installation of REDARC’s BCDC DC-DC In-vehicle charger range into the engine bay of both 100 and 105 Series of Toyota Landcruisers.

Each mounting bracket is manufactured from durable 304 stainless steel and is tailored for the secure fitment within the Toyota Landcruiser’s engine bay. By using a REDARC Mounting Bracket you can ensure a professional and neat install, removing the need to use customer bracket and drilling holes.

By using a REDARC Mounting Bracket you also guarantee optimal performance of your BCDC DC-DC charger by ensuring it gets cool airflow.

This mounting bracket kit includes everything you need to install the BCDC charger in your vehicle including a comprehensive installation template and instructions, fasteners and bracket.

THE BCDC MOUNTING BRACKET

The REDARC BCDC Mounting Bracket is designed to install your BCDC in the cool airflow
at the front of your vehicle, away from high temperature areas for maximum performance.

The BCDC Mounting Bracket is constructed from durable stainless steel and has been
designed to fit existing mounting points in your vehicle for ease of installation.
WARNING & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Save these instructions—this manual contains important safety instructions for
the BCDCMB-008 Mounting Bracket.
Do not install the BCDC Mounting Bracket unless you have read and understood
these installation instructions.

Before fitting, follow instructions and review your vehicle to ensure this kit suits
your vehicle make and model specifications.
• Installing the mounting bracket requires removal and refitment of the bonnet safety
latch bolt. Check the bonnet catch is properly connected and still functions before
driving your vehicle.
• Removing factory fitted screws may expose bare metal resulting in rust. Retouch
any exposed metal with rust inhibitor if it is not an earth connection.
• Damage to cabling can cause failure of BCDC and vehicle electrical systems.
Ensure wiring is clear of sharp edges and moving parts, and have enough slack to allow for flexing.

* Parts D, E and F are only required if the centre radiator support bracket for your vehicle model does not have a lower factory support bolt (see Step 6).

COMPLETED INSTALLATION

The installed BCDCMB-008 Mounting Bracket sits to the passenger side of the center radiator
support bracket as shown in the INSTALLATION.

Step 1

•Undo the three Phillips head screws at the top of the grille as shown in the
image below.
Note: Put the screws aside to be refitted later.

Step 2

• Release the two plastic clips at the bottom of each side of the grille.
Note: To release a clip, push the top of the clip towards the front of the vehicle so you can remove the grille.

Step 3

• Once both plastic clips at the bottom of the grille have been released, lift the
grille up and out of the vehicle.
Step 4
• Remove the two plastic clips located on the grille support brackets attached to
each of the head light mountings.
Notes:
• To remove a clip, turn it 90 degrees and then pull it out.
• These plastic clips need to be clipped back into the grille before it is refitted
back onto vehicle (see Step 10). Put the clips aside to be refitted later.

Step 6

• Remove the M8x20 factory bolt holding the bonnet safety latch and the two
M8x20 factory bolts holding the centre radiator support.
Note: If your vehicle model does not have a lower radiator support bolt, use the
supplied M8x20 Hex bolt. M8x20 washer and M8 Nylon Locking Nut. Removing factory fitted bolts may expose bare metal resulting in rust. Retouch any exposed metal with rust inhibitor if it is not an earth connection.

Step 7

• Loosely fit the BCDC bracket into position using the three bolts described in step 6

Step 8

• Fit the suitable REDARC Fuse Kit (FK40 or FK60) as close as possible to the
battery according to the REDARC BCDC Instruction Manual.
BCDC1220—Use FK40.
BCDC1225D—Use FK40.
BCDC1240D/1250D—Use FK60.
INSTALLATION

Step 9

• Ensure the factory bolts refitted in Step 7 are tightened correctly to the vehicle torque specifications.
Removing factory fitted screws may expose bare metal resulting in rust.
Retouch any exposed metal with rust inhibitor if it is not an earth connection.

Step 10

• Attach the two plastic clips that you removed from the grille support brackets on the head
lights (in Step 4) to the grille.

Step 11

• Refit the grille by aligning the bottom grille clips you reattached in Step 10 with the
holes in the grille support brackets attached to each of the head light mountings.
Refit the three Phillips head screws removed in Step 1.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE/CHECKS of the BCDC Mounting Bracket:

Check the BCDC is clear of combustibles during regular servicing of the vehicle.
Build-up of combustible materials around the bracket may result in a fire hazard.
